some new designs! There was no special inspiration for them I just wanted to make something more wearable xD and maybe something for the street ;D This is also my first picture which is almost completely coloured with PaintTool SAI so I still have to practice xD but I like the end result so I hope you like them too and have a nice day!!
it is the bread and butter of my life. I'd rather have street style than High fashion any day.
That said I'm glad to say that I want all of these in my closet.
Also im a little stumped on the waistline of the last dress on the right. I'm confused by the lines as to what is going on there with the design.
From left to right:
1: I like the simplicity of this dress. The Hem detail on the sides makes it stand out. Also I feel that you styled it well with those black leggings and matching peep toe heels. What i don't like is the sheer sleeve of that hoodie. To me its a little too much paired with those shoulders.
2: This one is my overall fav outfit (despite the fact that i know that my body type wouldn't be able to pull it off) I love the overstuffed hood, the teal accents, and the snugly cow neck collar.
3: I love this dress. its both military (with those shoulders and sunglasses) and girly (with the soft color pallet and petal shaped skirt ) The fun part, I feel, is that funky neckline.
4: This is just me but I don't like when i see design illustrations from the side like this (unless it shows off the design better that way) I don't feel like I see enough of this design to rate it.
5: These puffy sleeves are a risk. Ether when (if) this goes into production, it will turn out good or bad. If BAD than these puffy sleeves will look saggy and heavy, but if its GOOD it will look like your illustration. This concerns me because I try to look at all designs as if they are going to be produced, and when i see student work that uses puffiness usually end up on the bad end of the spectrum, but if you can pull them off then more power to yeah!
I really know little about the fashion world, I've been scouted once and never went through with it, but I will do my best to critique this!
Starting from the left, I think the first outfit is really cute. I love how simple it is without being boring. The contrast between the black of the jacket and tights contrasts nicely with the soft colouring of the dress and shoes. I really like the sleeve and the black black trim on the dress.
For the second outfit, well, i want that jacket. It's nice, but its not bulky, and the hood it what really stands out to me. I think its really creative how you used the colour of the dress and the trim of the jacket on the shoes. I also think the bracelets are a really great touch.
The third outfit seems like something to be worn in a big city. the model shows make me think it's something a superstar would wear, but that may just be the sunglasses. Overall I think it's great.
The fourth outfit is a little plain, just because it doesn't have much colour. the model's hair a bracelet really stand out more. However I really love that jacket, it seems like a really sweet and cute piece.
The final outfit isn't something I would wear, but that's just me. I think the tights and the shoes blend together, and they're hard to tell apart. The asymmetry of the dress is cool, but it seems impractical, same with the jacket. However when but all together on that model it looks quite good. I think it's something you'd see one the runway, magazines, maybe even a tv show, but not in real life.
But that hat. It's so cute it isn't even funny. Gosh, i wants to wear those clothes!!!!
All of these are absolutely adorable and cute... #2, #4, #5 seem very asian fashion so if this ever goes into production, I could see it being globally accepted. For the dress in the middle, I can't really see it being street wear, but for something a bit on the formal edge and then for the first one, the little jacket seems like it would be really interesting to make and really interesting to see somebody wear it.. You'd have to have the perfect personality and shape to wear it. And I kind of agree with fih-leh on the last one... The sleeves would be pretty hard to pull off by the average person even if it was made with a sheer type of fabric and the dress seems a little undone somehow
