So I absolutely love the idea of the Black Swan theme: definitely one of my favorite movies, but I didn't see as many influential themes in the clothes as I would've liked. The orange and black juxtaposition is really nice and bold, but 1) kind of reminds me of Halloween o_O and 2) isn't that related to Black Swan. XD I know that imitating something completely isn't good or original, but I don't think I could've really guessed they were black swan, for the most part. I think I would've preferred another color like purple or blue for the 3rd color.

Individual:
1. I'm not going to comment on the whole orange thing here, but I LOVE the corset like bodice of the top. The buttons definitely give it a kind of badass look, which seems apropos to the whole Black Swan thing. The feathers on the hips also add to the whole dark, evil appeal. Overall, I really like this one.

2. Definitely my favorite!!! I love the sheer chiffon-like material draping from the skirt; it reminds me of the curtains on a stage. :3 The skirt also has the tutu influences, being puffy and voluminous. Here, you can tell it's Black Swan themed with the wings and whatnot. I REALLY love how you did the grey-ish colored wings, and how she has a hood over her head. It seems to be more conflicted, as if she's trying to resist the Black Swan inside (if that makes sense). The black neckpiece gives an illusion of almost strangling her, and I love the conflict apparent in this deviation. ^^

3. This dress seems to exude rockstar appeal. The hand helps too, . This isn't my favorite, but the long "train" reminds me of those evil queens who have the long robes and walk all regally (think the queen from Disney's Snow White), so that adds to the whole evil appeal. LOVE the shoes though; I would totally wear them!! The hair piece is lovely, though I'm not a huge fan of the belt-like thing of fluff around her waist. :/ Overall, although it doesn't have many Black Swan themes (in my opinion), it's a well done piece.

4. This reminds me of an Alexander McQueen piece I saw at the Met!! <3 Its got the whole skirt wrapping around thing, going from short to long, but his was like Balsa wood panels, and this is MUCH more wearable. (; The ankle boots and belt are really nice, and give it a more casual feel. The decision to add black tights/leggings was really good; the black and white juxtaposition is really nice and bold! I think the hair adds to the appeal here: its drapy and the long pieces that fall in front of her face, in addition to the giant poof, give the illusion that she's hiding. well done! This one has more Black Swan themes as well, with the conflict. You really demonstrated the inner turmoil of the White Swan in both white pieces!

5. lovelovelove this one! It's got that dark, evil red-carpet appeal. Kind of like the queen bee I love the mermaid train/dress, which highlights the figure. The poof at the end of the mermaid dress (err idk what it's called) is VERY spiky XD and dramatic. Again not a fan of the orange, but the whole spikes works The poofs on top of her shoulders are AMAZING. They remind me of the Burberry trenches? If you know what I mean...the ones with the metal studs and spikes. :3 The neckpiece really elongates the figure, and gives her the whole "stare" thing going on. The head piece is lovely too; the spikes remind me of an evil crown of some sort.

Overall, I loved the pieces, but didn't see too much of the Black Swan themes in them. :/ They definitely (I think I used this word a lot! ><) had the whole dark/light conflicts and themes, but I would've liked to see more ballet influences also. So, ranking of favorite to less favorite. ^^ 1st: no. 2; 2nd: no 1; 3rd: no. 5; 4th: no. 4; 5th: no. 3

(Sorry this was so long LOL XD But it is a beautiful deviation ^^)

~TheAnimeotakufreak's sister XD (I think we had a conversation in the past; she is more anime (duh) and I'm more into fashion. ^^)
